If you're like me, skincare used to be something I barely thought about—until my skin wasn't fine. Then it became an obsession: the research rabbit holes, the endless new products, the hope for an overnight fix.

Then came that b**ch, Perimenopause — dryness, wrinkles, hormonal acne — all at once. I didn’t want injections. I wanted something real, lasting, and holistic. That led me to K-Beauty — as a Korean-American, I’d always heard was WAY more advanced, but when I tried to dive in? It was overwhelming.

Thousands of products. Conflicting advice. Massive marketplaces with copy-paste claims. Sketchy websites with slow shipping. TikTok hype machines... (and yes, I wasted a LOT of money on all of these)

And Amazon? The most disheartening. I found out most “Korean” products sold there were actually made in America with American ingredients — and not nearly as effective. I got scammed once buying a totally fraudulent product. And another time I bought a legit product that didn't smell, feel, or work anything like its Korean counterpart I got from Korea months before. 

I didn’t want trends. I just wanted truth. Just someone to say:
